Writing on Board: A.E. Roman is a writer. He's also a former actor with Family Life Theater and Performing Arts Creative Team. He's published poetry and performed at The Cooper Hewitt Museum, Dixon Place, The Nuyorican Poet's Cafe and The John and Alice Coltrane Home in Philadelphia. He's written, directed, script-doctored, and had plays produced at the American Theater of Actors, the Irish Arts Center, and Houses on the Moon. He's optioned screenplays, a TV project, and collaborated on two produced independent films (one based on a treatment and another co-written). He co-authored the novel Sweet 15 ("charming, fresh and funny coming-of-age" -Kirkus Review) and authored the novels Chinatown Angel (Shamus Award Finalist), The Superman Project (International Latino Book Award Winner), and Unfinished Moon (work in progress).
